We often get asked about tenant insurance and whether or not it is necessary. As your landlords, avenue living does require you to have tenant insurance. Some people question why this is so we decided to go over some of the main reasons for you.
The biggest reason is that you are legally responsible for any harm you cause to any part of the building and others who live or visit there. If your old faulty toaster caused a fire that damaged the building and the possession of the other tenants, then you could be held financially responsible for this unfortunate event. You’ll also want to protect your own possessions. It may not seem like a lot but if you had to replace all your clothing, furniture and appliances as a result of fire or water damage, it could add up quickly!
Insurance premiums are a small price to pay to have the peace of mind that you’ll be protected against any of these unfortunate and unpredictable events. Be sure to shop around with a few different insurance providers to ensure you are getting the best coverage at the best price!
