Avenue In the Community

"To provide value and quality communities that everyone deserves"

As one of the largest property rental companies in Western Canada, Avenue Living Communities (ALC) believes that in order to grow, our communities need to grow too. This is why ALC is committed to engaging with non-for-profits, social agencies and other institutions that strive to have a positive impact in your neighborhoods. Below are just some of the great community-focused organizations in which ALC has partnered with and continues to support across all of our centres.

In the summer of 2019, Avenue Living Communities (ALC) sponsored the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) eighth annual Ride Don’t Hide fundraising bike ride in Springbank, Alberta. Ride Don’t Hide is the largest mental health bike ride in Canada with almost 10,000 riders and hundreds more family members, friends and volunteers across Canada taking part in raising more than $2 million each year. ALC recognizes the importance of spreading awareness for this cause and is honored to be able to support such a fantastic organization.
In 2019, Avenue Living Communities (ALC) sponsored the EPIC Spring Hockey Team. EPIC hosts elite performance improvement camps and tournaments for youth hockey players across Western Canada. This year's squad competed in Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg. They managed to capture 2 golds and 1 bronze medal throughout the season. ALC is proud to be involved with such a great group and would like to congratulate all the players and coaches on the team for their success.
Committed to encouraging youth sports development across all their centres, Avenue Living Communities (ALC) gladly sponsored the Moose Jaw Bantam Ice Girls Softball Team in 2019. ALC helped support their journey as they competed in a number of tournaments throughout Saskatchewan in preparation for the U16 A Provincial Championships in Prince Albert during the summer of 2019.
Avenue Living Communities (ALC) is a proud donor to the HIV Community Link’s annual Splash of Red benefit event. ALC is honored to have been able to contribute alongside the hundreds of guests and volunteers who came together in 2019 to raise critical funds over $60,000 which will be used towards prevention, education, and support programs across Southern Alberta.
Thankful of all the amazing work that they do, Avenue Living Communities (ALC) is very proud to be partners with the Medicine Hat Food Bank. “The more we teach families about what does real food sustainability look like, where does food come from, and how do we grow it ourselves, I think we can make a big difference in the food sustainability in our community” says Executive Director Celina Symmonds.
Committed to giving back to organizations that provide essential services and a better quality of life for those who need support, Avenue Living Communities (ALC) is a proud partner of Brown Bagging for Calgary Kids. "Together, we are working towards no hungry kids and are so grateful to companies like Avenue Living that join us in making this happen," says Tanya Koshowski, Executive Director of BB4CK.
Avenue Living Communities (ALC) partnered with the Western Hockey League during the 2018 and 2019 season. "At Avenue Living Communities, we are big believers in bringing the community together," said Zora Roberts, President of Avenue Living Communities. "That's why we are thrilled to join forces with the Western Hockey League."
