The holiday season is a time for connection, generosity and community. This year, Avenue Living focused on giving back to the neighbourhoods we call home, with initiatives designed to support families, bring residents together and spread a little extra cheer.
From fundraising and food bank support to resident events and giveaways, the season was filled with moments that made a real difference for thousands of people across our communities.
Supporting Food Banks Canada
Avenue Living team members came together this year to support Food Banks Canada through a holiday fundraising campaign. Thanks to generous donations and a company match guarantee, the campaign raised a total of $7,150 CAD.
Food Banks Canada estimates that every dollar donated helps provide two meals. That means this campaign supported approximately 14,300 meals for individuals and families in communities across the country.
Food Banks Canada works with a network of more than 5,000 food banks and community organizations nationwide, helping address food insecurity while supporting local solutions. The need continues to grow, especially during the winter months, and every contribution helps strengthen community resilience.

Bringing Holiday Spirit Home
Alongside fundraising efforts, Avenue Living hosted a variety of holiday events across our properties to help residents feel connected and celebrated. These included hot cocoa gatherings, winter wonderland themed events and festive activities with prizes.
Many of these events brought neighbours together for the first time, creating opportunities to connect, share laughs and enjoy the season. Residents left with warm drinks, festive treats and a stronger sense of community.
Avenue Giving and 10 Days of Giveaways
As a thank you to our residents, Avenue Living hosted Avenue Giving's 10 Days of Giveaways campaign designed to add a little extra joy to the holiday season. From December 1 to 12, residents had the chance to enter daily draws, with two winners selected each day from Monday to Thursday, and one grand prize winner announced every Friday.
The prizes included:
- Mondays: Two $150 Amazon gift cards
- Tuesdays: Two $125 SkipTheDishes gift cards
- Wednesdays: Two $150 gas gift cards
- Thursdays: Two $200 grocery gift cards
- Fridays: One month of free rent, with one winner each week
In addition, two lucky residents who renewed their leases this season each received one month of free rent through renewal giveaways.
Ending the Season on a High Note
To wrap up the holidays, Avenue Living is also offering a seasonal promotion for new residents. Anyone who signs a lease in December will be entered for a chance to win $500 off their January rent.
As the year comes to a close, Avenue Living is grateful to the residents, team members and communities who made this season so meaningful.
