Apartments in Regina Northeast

Are you looking for a rental apartment in Northeast Regina? This section of the city appeals to renters who value established communities close to major employment centres and the Downtown core. The Northeast combines quiet residential neighbourhoods with quick access to schools, healthcare, parks, shopping centres, and more. With the Downtown core and strong local amenities, Northeast Regina is a practical choice for professionals and long-term renters looking for a daily routine that’s simple and enjoyable.

Living in Northeast Regina

Day-to-day life in Regina’s Northeast is defined by comfort and convenience. Many communities feature mature trees, established streets, and are located next to major commercial strips to make running errands feel quick and effortless.

The Downtown core rests mostly in the Northeast, and there are several large employers on the periphery, making it a major employment hub in the city. The Northeast maintains a residential pace with quiet streets within reach of big-box grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, and service businesses just a short drive or transit ride away.

Safety & Stability

Community safety in the Northeast is supported through citywide initiatives such as the Neighbourhood Watch, which encourages resident awareness, reporting, and cooperation with local police services to enhance neighbourhood safety.

Emergency services serve the quadrant as part of Regina’s integrated municipal response system. Pasqua Hospital and Regina General Hospital are nearby and easily accessible from Albert Street and Victoria Avenue.

Our Victoria Arms building is within easy walking distance of the Regina General Hospital, perfect for hospital staff who want to rent an apartment that’s close to work.

Commuting & Transit

  • Driving: Regina’s Northeast benefits from proximity to key connection routes like the Ring Road and Albert Street, connecting residents to Downtown, industrial areas, and other quadrants. Commute times vary by neighbourhood and destination, but travel to the city centre is generally short on most days.
  • Public Transit: Regina Transit operates multiple bus routes that serve the Northeast, connecting residents to the rest of the city. Service frequency depends on the specific route and time of day, with peak-hour schedules offering additional buses and stop times.

Education

Northeast Regina is well served by established public and Catholic schools, making the area a great choice for families and long-term renters. The quadrant includes several well-known elementary schools such as Henry Braun School and Judge Bryant School, both part of Regina Public Schools, as well as St. Theresa School, which serves Catholic families in the area. These schools are embedded within residential neighbourhoods, allowing many students to walk or take short bus rides.

For older students, F.W. Johnson Collegiate is the main public high school serving the Northeast. It offers a range of academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs and is accessible by Regina Transit from surrounding neighbourhoods. For French immersion, École Monseigneur de Laval offers French language instruction from K to 12.

While post-secondary campuses are not located directly in the Northeast, both the University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic are accessible by bus, making the area a viable option for students who prefer quieter residential living with reliable transit connections.

Shopping & Everyday Services

Regina Northeast gives residents quick access to everyday comforts, with abundant options for shopping, dining, and services clustered along major commercial corridors. The Northeast is home to several key retail hubs, including Northgate Mall, Market Mall, Glencairn Shopping Centre, and Cornwall Centre, with all the retail shops you could ask for in convenient central locations.

Grocery stores, gas stations, medical clinics, and casual dining spots are well distributed throughout the quadrant, allowing renters to manage daily needs close to home.

If living close to shopping, services, and amenities is a priority, our Kleisinger Manor, MacKenzie Manor, and Northgate Manor properties in the Churchill Downs neighbourhood are situated near Northgate Mall and several grocery stores. These locations are also right next to parks and green spaces like the Laval Soccer Field and North East Park, and provide residents with quick access to the Ring Road, making getting around the city easier.

Downtown Regina, with its concentration of offices, restaurants, cultural venues, and services, further enhances the Northeast’s reputation for being a convenient choice for renters. If you prefer a Downtown lifestyle, our Highfield Apartments building might be a good option for you. This well-maintained building puts you steps away from Regina’s Market Square and at the heart of the action.

Parks, Green Space & Recreation

Residents of Regina Northeast have access to neighbourhood parks, playgrounds, and community green spaces. Larger park systems and recreational facilities elsewhere in Regina, such as Wascana Centre, are reachable within a short drive or transit trip.

Northeast Regina residents can enjoy indoor recreation centres like Gymnastics Adventure and the Get Air Trampoline Park for family-friendly fun all year round.

Why Rent in Northeast Regina

Regina Northeast offers residents the excitement of the Downtown core with the quiet of the suburbs, and plenty of options for shopping, services, and entertainment. For anyone focused on location and lifestyle when considering where to rent an apartment, Northeast Regina is an excellent option.
