July 23, 2012 (Calgary, AB) -avenue living is pleased to announce a recent $9.5M purchase in the city of Medicine Hat, Alberta. The purchase of these 121 units marks avenue living's first acquisition this city, and makes it our 10th operating centre across the Prairie Provinces. Medicine Hat has always been an economic hotbed for this region; by the time Alberta was incorporated as a province in 1905 residents had already tapped into natural gas as an inexpensive form of energy. To this day, the city's own gas fields continue to light the traditional gas lamps that you can see throughout the downtown district.
Adding to Medicine Hat's unique appeal is the fact that it can claim the title of sunniest year-round city in all of Canada, with over 2,500 hours each calendar year.
