Work Order Coordinator

Calgary, AB Full Time

Avenue Living Communities, a fast-paced, fast-growing owner and operator of apartment buildings in Western Canada, is seeking a Work Order Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Resident Experience, you will be fully responsible for providing support to the facility management team by coordinating all work orders as needed. You will lead by example completing required tasks on time with impeccable attention to detail. The highest level of internal & external customer service will be presented at all times.

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage tenant requests, including proper follow-up to ensure satisfaction and completion
  • Schedule and organize staff in the field, ensure best use of time for all parties.
  • Follow up with tenants to ensure work was done to standard
  • Open and close numerous work orders in a timely manner
  • Manage and organize all work required in unoccupied suites to ensure rent ready suites are made move in ready in a timely manner, once complete turn on suite for operations
  • Liaise with staff and leadership in various centers to provide a best in class service to the tenant
  • Prepare notices to the tenants, ensure legal compliance
  • Manage, organize and assign all work orders received
  • Other duties as required

What you need to succeed:

  • 5 Years of customer retention, maintenance, leadership experience, project management with exceptionally tight deadlines
  • High school Diploma
  • Responsible individual with high energy and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Detail Oriented with excellent organizational, problem solving / logistical analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of internal and external clients
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Team player that is supportive of employees and tenants alike
  • You are self-directed with the ability to effectively manage your time and resources to ensure deadlines are met
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Clean professional image and sense of pride that promotes a positive team spirit
