This Pride Month, we are taking intentional steps to support and encourage the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Not only have we adorned our offices with vibrant rainbow flags, symbols of unity and acceptance, but we are also supporting Rainbow Railroad. An incredible organization that tirelessly helps 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals facing persecution find safety and freedom. Through emergency assistance, support, and resources, the Rainbow Railroad transforms lives, empowering individuals to live authentically and fearlessly. "Coming into Avenue Living Communities, it was definitely scary for me. But everyone has been really nice, accepting, and just really great! And honestly, I love it here. I'm very happy," he said.
From promptly updating official records with his preferred name to colleagues demonstrating respect for Bee's gender identity by seeking clarification on pronouns and fostering an atmosphere of acceptance, Bee felt embraced and found a place he could truly call home.
